Successfully Managing a Day Will Get You Promoted to New Levels of Authority

I heard Dr. Cindy Trimm say, “One of the first things that God gives you authority over is a day. If you can’t control a day you will have difficulty controlling your destiny. If you lose control of a day, then 9 times out of 10 you will be misaligned with your destiny.”

God gives you bite-sized pieces of probation—called days. And if you have authority over that probationary period, He’ll move you into different levels of authority. He’ll expand your terrain, and your sphere of rulership.

So, I began focusing on days. Focusing on today. Only. Maximizing days.

Jesus said, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble (Matthew 6:34). Here’s the revelation. 3 THINGS:

  1.  Place a Mental Border Around Today
  • Leave tomorrow’s concerns for tomorrow.
  • If you carry tomorrow’s load into today you will exceed your mental, physical, and spiritual capacity for today. The overload will sabotage your ability to make any progress today.
  1. Bring All That You Possibly Have to This Day
  • Don’t conserve part of you for tomorrow. You will receive a new impartation of power tomorrow. “Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning” (Lamentations 3:23 NLT).
  • What if you got up early this morning and decided to focus all that you had on this day, and this day only? What if you decided to bring to this day…
  • Your best focus
  • Your highest energy
  • Your best creativity
  • Your keenest attention
  • Your highest ideas
  • Your highest level of faith
  • Your best ingenuity
  • Your best craftiness
  • Your best habits
  • Your best patterns
  • Your best thoughts
  1. If You Can Do It For a Day You Can Do It For a Lifetime
  • If you can do it today (for one day), then tomorrow, all you have to do is decide that you’re going to do it again (just for 1 day though).
  • Then, the next morning when you get up all you have to do is decide that you’re going to do it again (just for 1 day).
  • Before you know it you will have put together one of the best weeks of your life.
  • If you repeat the pattern each day, before you know it you will have put together the best month of your life; the best quarter of your life; the best half year of your life; the best year of your life; the best life ever!

When you show that you can take authority over a day God will elevate you to higher levels of authority in life! Things will start to recognize your authority and obey you. Things will cooperate with your divine destiny and purpose.

New Post: Your Mouth is the Police Department of Your Mind

Where do you store your problems? You store them in your mind. Now that’s not a positive thing—it’s called worry. Worry is the devils anointing. It’s his empowerment and enablement to succeed in your life.

A thought is one of the most powerful things in the world. If it gets “planted in your head” it has an opportunity to get “birthed in your life.”

Every thought in your mind is transmitted to the cells in your body. There are cells of your body that are assigned to act as defenders from foreign matter. If your mind is full of confusion, doubt, fear, worry, and anxiety, those thoughts confuse and weaken the cells that are assigned to protect your body against illness. That’s why you hear people saying, “All that stress and worry actually made me sick.” Their “soldier cells” became weaken by what the destructive thoughts deposited in them.

Here’s a strategy. Police every thought that comes to your mind. The apostle Paul was aware of this when he said, “…Bringing EVERY THOUGHT into captivity…” (II Corinthians 10:5b). “Your mouth is the police department of your mind.”

Don’t let errant, foolish, crazy thoughts roam free in your mind. Here’s what you should do with every crazy thought:

  1.  Hand Cuff It
  • Your mouth is your seat of authority over your mind.
  • Use your mouth to “hand cuff” wrong thoughts so they can’t roam free in your mind.
  • Say things like, “I denounce you—I silence you, and give you no place to operate in my life.”
  1. Arrest It
  • How does someone know they are under arrest? The one with authority says, “You’re under arrest.”
  • So, when something crazy enters your mind that you don’t want to see in your life, say, “I arrest you and give you no place to operate in my life!”
  1. Put It In Jail
  • Jesus said in Mark 11:23a—You shall SAY unto this mountain…(your mountain being the thoughts you’ve stored in your head that are plaguing you).
  • You must speak out loud to wrong thoughts.
  • You have to take your policing authority (your mouth) and speak to wrong thoughts, and tell them, “…Be thou removed and cast into the sea (i.e. cast into jail)(Mark 11:23b).

The crazy thoughts that you allow to roam free in your mind are the ones that have the greatest power to enter your life. Let’s talk about this. Enter your comment below.
