Alpha and Omega Prayers

There’s basically 2 ways you can pray. You can just pray, or you can pray strategically. Here’s a prayer strategy that you can add to your prayer approach to make you more multifaceted and strategic in prayer. I’m calling it Alpha and Omega Prayers. Alpha is simply a Greek word for “the beginning,” and omega is a Greek word for “the ending.”

Alpha prayers are designed to initiate something new in your life. “New” could be representative of a new season, a new mindset, a new focus, or a new impetus that God is leading you toward.
Omega prayers are prayers that bring an end to something in your life. It could be the end of a season. There are some seasons that are unproductive and draining that you want to see come to an end. It could be a season of barrenness and unproductivity, or a season of stagnation. Omega prayers could be designed to bring an end to a belief system or a mindset. They can be targeted towards ending counterproductive lifestyle activities, and/or oppressive influences in your life.

Here’s some Alpha and Omega prayers to help launch you in adding this strategy to your prayer approach:

Alpha Prayer
Father, I pray for a new season in my life. A new season, where everything works in my favor. A new season of invincibility—where even my mistakes turn out to be successes. I pray for a new mindset, where I rid myself of procrastination and hesitation. I pray for a new focus that causes me to look at what You’re looking at, care about what You care about, love what You love, and hate what you hate. I pray for a new season, where my life is perfectly aligned with Your life. I pray for a new season of progress and success; of going forward and not going backwards. I declare that old things have passed away, and all things are made new.

Omega Prayer
Now Father, I pray some Omega prayers. I pray for an ending to this season of stagnation and barrenness. I pray for an end of this season of questions with no answers, problems with no solutions, and vision with no provision. I pray for an end to all of my counterproductive thoughts and actions. I pray for an end to every oppressive and opposing influence.

YOU ARE MY ALPHA AND OMEGA. I ASK YOU TO BE MY NEW BEGINNING, AND THE POWER BEHIND MY NECESSARY ENDINGS!

A Prayer for “Open”ness and “Open”ings

Here’s a prayer for “open”ness and “open”ings:

“OPEN”NESS

Heavenly Father…

Open my Eyes (for perception)

  • Give me vision. Allow me to see concealed things; hidden things.
  • Give me vision to see things that are in “play” but not in “sight.”

Open my Ears (for hearing)

  • Give me ears to hear what the spirit is saying to the church.

Open my Nose (for discernment)

  • Give me a keenness for what’s going on; catching your signs & symbols.

Open my Mind (for thinking)

  • Give me new ways of thinking; new processes of thought.

Open my Spirit (for receiving)

  • That I would not miss anything you’re sending my way, both visible and invisible.

…Increase my “open”ness so I will have new “open”ings. So now I pray for “open”nings.

 “OPEN”INGS

I pray for Open Doors (of opportunities)

  • Grant me new opportunities; cause opportunities to pop-up everywhere.
  • Drop opportunities in my lap.

I pray for Open Gates (that the King of glory may come in)

  • Let nothing hinder your glory; let nothing hider your presence.

I pray for Open Windows

  • That light would come; and fresh air for a fresh walk with You.

I pray for Open Pathways (for divine direction)

  • You said, “The steps of a good man/women are ordered by you.”
  • Show me which steps to take; which way to go; which path to choose.

I ask for Open Portals (for walking in dominion)

  • Grant me new strength; new power.

I pray for Open Streams (for multiple sources of income)

  • Give me new ideas; new connections; new inventions.

Grant me Open Ways (for new directions)

  • Give me new ways of doing things; new approaches.

I pray for Open Territories (for taking new grounds)

  • For property acquisition; for new authority in multiple areas.

I ask for Open Terrains (for the ability to handle challenges)

  • Grant me new wisdom to walk in new authority.
  • Give me the ability to handle difficulties with wisdom and grace.

I pray for Open Access (for entry into new levels)

  • New levels; and new dimensions.

Open me up so concealed things are revealed to me. Open me up where I have new vision and new perception. Let me never be left in the dark again!

AMEN

“Divine Decision Making”–The Ability To No Longer Make Any Wrong Decisions!

Yesterday’s decisions have produced today’s experience. Your decisions are determining your life.  You are required to make so many decisions (conscious and unconscious) in a given day that you are likely to make some detrimental ones from-time-to-time.

Everything from your experiences, education, understanding, opinion, brain development, and mood, affect your decision making. What if you had a built-in system that sat at the door of your decision making and positively affected and influenced every decision you made? There is such a thing! I call it “Divine Decision Making.” Divine means of, from, or like God. So, divine decision making is for your decision making to be of, from, and like God’s decision making. Let’s ask God for it:

Father I pray that you would grant me divine decision making—that I would not make one wrong decision in this season. I pray that the decisions that I make will not be based on my limited knowledge and information, but would be divinely influenced by your unlimited knowledge and understanding. I can catch part of the picture; however, you can see the entire picture.  You have “super vision,” that’s why you’re my “Supervisor.” I pray that (in real time) you would be the number one influencer of my decisions.  If I ever decide to do what (on the surface) appears to be to my advantage, but in fact is to my demise, I pray that you would intervene and change the course of my decision. I believe that I now have divine decision making—that I will not make one wrong decision in this season of my life!!!

LET’S MAKE THIS A LIFESTYLE BY DOING THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Keep praying for divine decision making.

Did God hear your prayer the first time? Yes! However, when you pray the same prayer multiple times YOU get to hear it again. Every time you hear it you are reminded of this new and powerful inclusion that has been added to your strategic mix.

  1. Be more sensitive to God’s influence in your decision making.

Every time you have a conscious decision before you, open your spirit to receive God’s influence. He’s now the number one influence in your decision making. He has already made every decision. You are deciding to choose what He is deciding. So, you have to turn up the volume of your spiritual ears. You have to dial up the sensitivity monitor in your spirit. Be more alert of God’s nudges, promptings, signs, symbols, and urgings. You are going to have a new sense of “knowing what to do.”

  1. Expect to make the right decision every time.

Raise your expectations. The level of your expectation is determining the level of your experience. Your life has just been greatly enhanced because God is now affecting and influencing every decision that you will make. .

You can make the right decision EVERY SINGLE TIME when you have divine decision making.
