Don’t Make “Permanent ” What God Has Made “Temporary”

When something significant is being built, scaffolding is put in place to support the building process. Scaffolding is temporarily attached to what is being built to get to places you could not ordinarily reach. The structure can’t be elevated to higher levels without the scaffolding. Once the structure is ready to be revealed the temporary scaffolding is removed.

As God is “building you,” there are temporary things in your life that you must not get attached to. Sometimes we get too attached to people; we get too attached to places; we get too attached to institutions. You have to recognize what is being used as a “temporary” means to move you ahead verses a source that you are to have “permanent” reliance on. That’s why sometimes relationships fall apart. Sometimes you lose an appetite for what used to feed you. Every now and then your reliance on an institution will be disappointed. You must understand that some people, some places, some institutions, some mindsets, and some approaches have expiration dates on them.

There are times when you have to blatantly abandon “what was” in favor of “what is to be.” You can’t be so attached to the “present” that you are not willing to abandon it in favor of your “future.” If there is no more life in it, it has already left you. Do not be so attached to something that you are not willing to let it go even when it has already gone.

Do not try to make “permanent” what God has made “temporary.”

I am excited about the release of my highly touted new book called Transition—Mastering Life’s movements! It speaks more extensively on letting go of the “present” in favor of your “future,” and so much more!!

Take a look at what people are saying about the book:

-I just finished this book and (((WOW))) what a great book that really gives you the bigger picture of what we all go through in life but never see it from this perspective. I love how this book gives you some specific practical tools that you can do every day and that you can be aware of in your conscious mind. I recommend getting this book in your library now, and once you read it you will want others to have it too. This will bless many.

-I Love this book! From the time I started reading it I knew right away that what I was reading was for me! As I read the first chapter describing to me what transition was or is; it was like food for my soul. I ate the first chapter really fast, it motivated and inspired me. I tweeted about how fast I was eating the book. I have been freed up from the confusion that seemingly alluded my life.

-I can only find “two” words right now. And that’s Anointed and Brilliant! I’m still in “Awe”! Seriously – no fluff! This book has just about summarized my past and present.

If you have not had the chance to get your copy of my powerful new book, consider getting a copy right now. Several people have purchased a copy for themselves and A second copy to sow into someone else’s life.

Discover the Number One Hindrance to a New Beginning

When you are looking for a “new beginning” you must have a clear vision of an “old ending.” The number one hindrance to having a new beginning is holding on (sentimentally) to the thoughts and feelings that were attached to a previous period. Make sure you do not get so stuck on being where God was that you fail to be where God is.

Some people wrap themselves around what God is no longer speaking and fortify themselves against the new thing that the Father is doing. It feels noble to protect something that God was doing when you’re ignorant to the fact that He’s no longer supporting that initiative. Don’t become so familiar with the previous revelation that you end up rejecting the update.

This blog post is a paraphrased excerpt from my POWERFULLY ENLIGHTENING NEW BOOK, Transition—Mastering Life’s Movements.

You must discern where God is at RIGHT NOW. When the children of Israel were wandering through the wilderness toward the Promised Land God told them to follow the cloud during the day, and follow the fire during the night. Being between where you were and where you are going can easily produce wondering. Which means you need a leader. Not a man this time. You need someone who knows their way around without a map and can produce light when it gets dark. He’s the Holy Spirit. The bible speaks of Him this way, “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He is the Spirit of Truth. He’s the remover of helplessness and hopelessness. Start asking Him questions when you are seeking answers. Develop a mentorship relationship with Him.

I would love to have you get a copy of my book. The early reviews are incredible!! In addition, it has been on the Amazon Hot New Seller’s List (in the professional growth category) since the day after its release.

What You Prepare For “Today” Is What Will Show Up In Your “Tomorrow”

The life you have today is based upon the preparation you made (for it) yesterday. What you prepare for today is what will show up in your tomorrow. When you start preparing, so does your future. If you fail to prepare so does your future.

IF YOU’RE NOT A PREPARER YOU WILL BE A REPAIRER

Preparers                                                     Repairers

Prevent fires                                                Puts out fires

Anticipate the future                                 Are surprised by the future

Puts things in order                                   Get ordered around by things

Are on the cutting edge of things            Are cut on the edge of things

Order the day                                              Are disordered by the day

Create                                                           Consume

Tap into the invisible                                 Are invisible to tapping

4 THINGS TO PREPARE FOR

  1. You must prepare for a future that requires more of you than your present.
  • When you ask God for more be aware that more demands on your life will probably come along with it.
  • I prayed for more clients but I didn’t pray for more demands on my life. They came automatically…with the clients.
  • That prayer for more (that you’re praying right now) better be accompanied by a prayer for the grace to handle it!

  1. You must prepare funeral arrangements for everything in your life that needs to be buried.
  • Sometimes “more” is not so much about adding on, as it is about taking away.
  • Listen to the language of these verses:
  • Ephesians 4:22—That you put off concerning your former conduct…
  • James 1:21—Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness…
  • Colossians 3:8—But now you yourselves are to put off all these…
  • It’s time to bury some things. Prepare the funeral arrangements.
  • What (in your life) needs to get the ashes-to-ashes, dust-to-dust treatment?

  1. You must prepare for the things you’re praying for.
  • Is the prayer you prayed today waiting for the step you take tomorrow as its answer?
  • If you want God to help you open a business you better start working on your discipline, organization, speed, health, management skills, and handling multiple demands.
  • The prayer might not be answered until YOU become the answer.
  1. You must prepare for the things that have already been prepared for you.
  • When you become a match (in Spirit) with the things that God has already prepared for you, they’ll be released.
  • When you become (in the spirit) the match with what is prepared for you, you will have traveled to the place where the prepared thing is.
  • Then you will no longer be trying to prophesy—you will become the prophesy.
  • You will no longer be praying for money–money will be asking to be attached to you.

Synchronized Time

Some coincidences are more than just a coincidence.  Some are a literal coinciding or an alignment of forces in the universe to create an event or circumstance.

Synchronized time is when internal forces collide with external forces to create a powerful moment that can literally change your life.

Have you ever had a song in your heart that you hummed throughout the day?  That’s the internal.  Then, someone walks into your presence and starts singing that very song out loud.  That’s the external.  How is that?  Well, what you meditate on, on the inside, will eventually place a demand on the external world and require a response.

Synchronize means to occur, or to cause to occur at the same instant; to cause to agree in time.  Synchronized time is when 2 worlds collide to produce a God moment.  It’s a moment when world’s intertwine—when 2 worlds meet.

Have you ever made a wrong turn and pulled into a gas station to turn around, and run into an old friend that you had lost contact with?  You would not have seen them unless you made the wrong turn.  Something amazing happened that would not have happened unless you went the wrong way.  Synchronized time is when God takes what seemingly is a “mistake” and turns it into something “magical.”

image

Synchronized time is when you just happened to be in the right place at the right time.  It’s an apparent chance meeting where you bump into, or come face-to-face with a person, a group, or an organization who not only has the answer to your problem, the piece to your puzzle, the cure for your hurt, the relief for your suffering, the favor and influence to your obscurity, or the money for your lack, but also has the desire and willingness to offer it to you with no strings attached.

In September of 2006 a friend of mine who had been out of work walked into an office and was approached by someone who asked him if he was looking for a job.  When he said “yes,” the person said, “You can have my job—I’m going to be moving.”  He then took him in the back to meet his employer and they hired him that day.

His visit to that office perfectly collided with a young man who was about to make a geographical move out of the area.  He walked “in” when the guy was walking “out.”  His visit to the office was perfectly synchronized with the young man’s exit out.

There’s chronos, which relates to the sequence of time.  Thus, we get the word chronological from.  Then there’s Kairos, which is a moment in time—a God moment, where an opening appears that requires a quick response from you for success to occur.

There are times in your life where success tomorrow is not good enough—you really need something to happen right now.  God can cause the resource to appear at the exact same time your need reaches it’s point of desperation.  That’s synchronicity.

How to Birth Synchronized Time

  • Minute-by-minute obedience births synchronized time!
  • Obey Me, and then I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you (Jeremiah 7:23) Holman Christian Standard Bible.
  • How would you like to be in the right place at the right time every day of your life? Minute-by-minute obedience to the Spirit of God puts you there!
  • If the Spirit moves you to take a different route home you better take it.
  • If you feel led to shake the hand of a stranger you better do it.
  • If you feel led to buy the guy’s lunch in the line behind you at the local sandwich shop, you better do it.
  • The Spirit of God just might by trying to synchronize you.

Getting Pregnant With Expectation

Your future is sitting there as a blank canvas waiting for you to create it.  Having no expectation is proof you believe your life will stay the same.

“Expectation is the current that drives what happens next”—current as in an electrical charge. Current speaks of flow and it speaks of power. A current is power that flows. Your expectation is a source of power that creates a flow of resources and events to bring your expectation to pass. Even God moves where He is expected. There are certain things that Gods wants to do for you that He requires you to pull out of Him with your expectation.

“Expectation must be accompanied by preparation.” Preparation is proof of expectation. At some point you must prepare for the things that you are praying for and believing for. If I invite you to dinner and you confirm that you are coming, I will immediately begin preparing for you. It’s proof of my expectation. What are you preparing for right now? It is proof that you expect it to materialize.

Expectancy speaks of likelihood. That’s why they call pregnant women “expecting.” The pregnancy is proof that a baby will soon be delivered. The revelation is this—you have to get pregnant with what it is you are looking for.

3 Fool-Proof Ways to Get Pregnant With Expectation:

  1. Get around someone who has already birthed what you’re seeking to have or become.
  • When you look at your mentor you are looking at a prophecy of your future.
  • A teacher can teach you what they know—a mentor can impart what they’ve become.
  • Impartation is impregnation.
  1. Feed on a constant diet of what you desire to have or be.
  • What feeds you is what will lead you.
  • When you eat of what something is, you become like what it is.
  • When you consume enough of what it is you are going after, it will eventually begin pursuing you, and become a part of you. Here’s your chance to legitimately over eat.
  • You will only go as far as the revelation, information, and impartation that’s feeding you.
  • Ask, seek, knock, push, pursue, investigate, chase, hunt, inquire, dig, search, and study.
  1. Become intimate with what it is you’re going after—make some physical contact.
  • Go take a test drive.
  • Call a travel agent and get some details of the country you dream of traveling to.
  • Have a realtor take you through homes like the one that “has your baby kicking.”
  • Ask the person who is already what you hope to become to allow you to accompany them on their next event or engagement.
  • You must touch, taste, and feel what it is you’re going after.

The Difference Between “Sight” and “Vision”

  • Sight “sees.” Vision “imagines.”

  • Sight sees with the eyes in your “head.” Vision sees with the eyes in your “heart.”
  • Sight sees what “appears to be happening.” Vision sees what is “really happening.”
  • Sight is for seeing the “visible.”  Vision is for seeing the “invisible.
  • Sight is for “seeing.” Vision is for “dreaming.”

The Power to Live in “Today” While Thinking Into “Tomorrow”

Not only should I be “thinking” ahead, but I should be “going” ahead. You see, you must go into the future on the “inside” before you’ll ever get there on the “outside.” The other night I was speaking to someone who was in Paris. It was Thursday night where I was at. I said, “What time is it there?” She said, “It’s 10 am.” She said, “I’m already in the future.” Wow! I was in Thursday evening and she was already in Friday morning…both at the same time.

That is why God gives you an imagination—to allow you to visit an amazing future ahead of time. He gives you an imagination to allow you to see pictures of an awesome future to motivate the actions necessary to get there. Imagine-nation. God allows you to go and get images from “another” nation and bring them to “your” nation to produce a “new” nation (a new personal world). What images are you capturing about your future?

You can do something significant “today” that will trigger something more amazing “tomorrow.” This moment is setting up the next moment. This moment is setting up a future moment. This moment is pregnant with power. This moment is pregnant with purpose.

image

God has made us bi-dimensional. You can be in this moment and set something in motion for the next moment. In so doing, you are in both moments at the same time. Just because something appears to not be going right in the current moment doesn’t mean that trend will continue.

Your “heart” is more intelligent than your “circumstances.” What is your heart telling you? I’m not asking what your circumstances are saying. Have you listened to what your heart has to say? If not, break away from everything and get in a quiet place and just listen. Is your heart saying?…

  • Things are going to get better.
  • This situation IS going to turn around.
  • As long as you have time you have a chance for a turnaround.
  • Your destiny is ordering divine corrections.
  • You always come out on top.
  • Break away from the details.
  • Break away from a certain person.
  • Get away from a certain group of people.
  • Every storm that “starts” has a “finish.”
  • Even if it doesn’t turn out the way you think, it will still turn out in your favor.
  • The presence of difficulty does not mean the absence of God.
  • You made it through every difficulty up to this point and are still standing.
  • You’re “unkillable!”

What is your heart saying?

Although you are in your “present” you can still affect your “future.” You are so powerful that you can live in “today” while thinking into “tomorrow.”

Why You Should Trust Your Destiny

God calls you something great and then gives you time to become it. Why does God do that? Because He never starts something until He finishes it first—including you. So what God does is He starts in the beginning and goes all the way to the ending, completes everything, and then goes back to the beginning and says, “Start from here.” He gets everything you need to be amazing, loads you down with it in your beginning, points you in the direction of the journey He just mapped out for you and tells you, “Now walk out the path that I just mapped out for you.” God “maps it out” but you have to “walk it out.”

He pre-codes everything in your life to guarantee the fulfillment of your divine destiny in the earth. Your destiny is so powerful that it pre-dates your time on the earth and post-dates your time in the earth. You came out of God. He reached inside of Himself to get you. Your parents didn’t “create” you, they “birthed” you. He puts greatness “in you” but requires you to bring it “out of you.”

The prophet Isaiah said, God declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). He starts in the beginning and boldly declares how it’s going to end. He gives everything an ending at the beginning. The purpose and power behind your life is beyond what your mind can comprehend.

image

God has told the earth to cooperate with the purposes for which you were sent to it. The more you act like who God made you, the more your destiny will honor you.

  1. Realize there’s a “you” that already exists on the inside of you that’s much greater than the “you” you’re currently familiar with.
  • God told the prophet Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.
  • God was pre-loading Jeremiah before anyone ever knew he was going to be born.
  • You were created before you were born.
  • God put something amazing in you before you were born. What is lying dormant in you that is waiting for its revealing?
  • What passion burns on the inside of you that we don’t really see much of on the outside of you?
  • What’s hidden in you that’s great, that needs to come out?
  1. Begin to believe that every resource and person necessary for the fulfillment of your destiny will find its way to you.
  • God has never imagined Himself being without something that should be in His life. So why should you?
  • Everything prepared for you before the foundation of the world, that pertains to your life, your ministry, your calling, and your godliness, has been given to you.
  • The Apostle Peter said it this way, “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness… (II Peter 1:3).
  • Start believing that everything that belongs to you will find its way to you.

The more faith you have in the fact that God has pre-chartered an amazing course for your life, the more likely that course will chart its way to you.
